The Country Salon first opened it's doors in 1986 in the beautiful village of Heydon. Founded by Edward Sutton, the salon went from strength to strength and Edward's son, Paul, joined the team in 1992.

Paul now heads up the friendly and talented team of stylists.

Colouring

All of our team are passionate about hair colouring and we only offer top quality products that provide our clients with consistent and beautiful shades.

We use two types of colour; permanent and demi-permanent.

Our permanent colours come from the Mask with Vibrachrom range from Davines. This is a permanent cream-based colouring system using technology unprecedented in the cosmetics world. It gives hair more intense conditioning power along with extraordinarily shiny, long-lasting colour, by penetrating more evenly into the hair structure. It is nevertheless a gentle colouring service which has a pleasant scent that neutralises the perception of ammonia. There are 115 shades, within 13 families, being;

Naturals, Intense Naturals, Ash Naturals, Intense Cool Naturals, Warm Naturals, Warm Browns, Cool Browns, Warm Reds, Cool Reds, Warm Blondes, Cool Blondes, Extralifts and Specialities.

Our demi-permanent colour is Present Time, again from Davines.
Present Time is a low commitment and strengthening colour with advanced power to create extra vibrancy, delicate lightening and gentle coverage with more longevity, a reflective shine and dimensional colour results. No need to be locked into one colour - adapt to seasonal colour that is kind on hair - lasting up to 24 washes. There are 60 shades in total.

Products

We are always looking at new and innovative hair care products in order to offer our clients the best options for their individual haircare needs.
We were approached by the Italian haircare company Davines to see if we would consider swapping to their products. After an extensive testing period, we are now delighted to offer a comprehensive range of Davines products which we have found to work amazingly well on our client's hair.
We fully stock their Essential Haircare Range, which offers daily haircare products, containing cosmetic and protective properties. It consists of nine families with simple and descriptive names that are abbreviations of their function, being;

MoMo - moisturising

Love Curl - curl enchancing

Love Smoothing - antifrizz

Melu - anti-breakage

Solu - clarifying

Minu - colour protective

Volu - volumising

NouNou - nourishing

Dede - delicate daily

In addition, we stock the Heart of Glass range which is dedicated to the care of natural, bleached and chemically treated blondes. Blonde hair, often particularly dry, dull and stressed by chemical treatments is deserving of special nourishing, reinforcing, repairing and brightening treatments, plus long-lasting colour protection.

Meet The Team

Paul

Paul joined the team as a fully qualified hairdresser in 1992 and brings with him a wealth of experience.

As creative director and owner of the salon, Paul oversees all technical areas and is passionate about offering the salon's clients the very best and latest innovative products

Tanya

Tanya rejoined the team in 2022, having previously worked for both Edward and Paul in Heydon.

Tanya is the salon's senior stylist and loves all aspects of hairdressing. She is passionate about exploring and implementing new colour and styling techniques.
